Biography
• Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Stephens Inc., a privately held financial services firm based in Little Rock, with offices around the country.
• Began his investment-banking career as an associate in the Corporate Finance Department at Stephens Inc. Later, was Senior Vice-President of the Capital Market Group and named President and Chief Executive Officer in 1986.
• Served on the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) District Conduct Committee for three years, finishing as its Chairman.
• Serves on the Board of Directors of Dillard’s Inc. and is a member of the Board of Trustees at Washington & Lee University.
• Chairman of the Arkansas Arts Center Foundation Board and Chairman of the Episcopal Collegiate School Foundation Board.
• Past Board Chairman of the Arkansas Arts Center; served as Chairman of the Capital Campaign to renovate the Arkansas Repertory Theatre; and served on the board for the Central Arkansas Boys and Girls Club.
• Holds a BA in economics from Washington and Lee University and an MBA from Wake Forest University.
